A 43-year-old biker died on Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle after hitting a pothole on the Lanseria road.
According to Shawn Herbst, spokesperson for Netcare911, the accident happened around 12:30 in the Sterkwater area on the Gauteng and North West border. He said according to witnesses on the scene, the biker lost control of the motorcycle after hitting the pothole. A motorist swerved to avoid the accident and his vehicle hit a pole next to the road.
“The 43-year-old biker was declared dead on the scene.” No other injuries were reported.
