A third person in Hartbeespoort has tested positive for Covid-19 virus on Thursday.
The woman and her family have been placed in self-quarantine at their home in an estate in Broederstroom and she is being monitored by doctors. According to information this was a locally transmitted case.
In a notice to residents of the estate, the home owners association (HOA) said “the resident has placed herself in self-quarantine since she was tested and received the results.”
According to the notice the patient will keep the HOA informed of her situation in accordance with any instructions given by the doctors and National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD).
More reports of yet another resident in an estate in the same area, has not been confirmed.
The first Covid-19 case was reported by the Hartbeespoort Medical Centre on Wednesday and the second by doctor’s rooms in Schoemansville on Thursday.
In addition to the three Hartbeespoort cases, local artist, Kobus Moller from Brits also tested positive this week.
