Covid-19: Coping with anxiety during lockdown – Sadag

It is day four of the lockdown, some of you might bored, the fridge might start looking quite bare, you have run out of things do – although necessary, strict rules and guidelines are not always easy to follow.

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (Sadag) said that the outbreak can cause fear and anxiety, it can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions among all.

Many may be experiencing heightened anxiety or depression as things are now settling in, you might sometimes feel lonely, stress and even depressed as social distancing is needed to flatten the curve of Covid-19.

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (Sadag) said that the outbreak can cause fear and anxiety, it can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults, teens or even children. Sadag is offering you help, they have set up a free online Facebook chats with top experts on their Sadag Facebook page every weekday from this week.

The daily Facebook expert chat will be from 1pm to 2pm on 30 March.
