Fourth Covid-19 case in Hartbeespoort confirmed

A fourth case of Covid-19 was confirmed in Hartbeespoort on Monday.

The man and his family are under self-quarantine at their home in yet another estate in Broederstroom. In a notice to residents of the estate, the governing body of the estate said the resident asked that his name be made public to fellow residents in the estate in the interest of public safety. According to the notice, the resident wishes to highlight the importance of physical distancing and adherence to the regulation in the estate. The resident said he was “struck hard by the virus” but believes he “has turned the corner.”

The first Covid-19 case was reported by the Hartbeespoort Medical Centre last Wednesday and two more on Thursday.  In Brits, the well-known artist, Kobus Moller also tested positive last week.
