Five people died in a horrific car crash on the R512 on Friday morning.
A car and a bakkie collided around 06:30 on Friday morning near the Lion and Safari Park and the car, suspected to be a Toyota Tazz, was torn into pieces.
“All five occupants in the car, including children, died. The driver of the bakkie was seriously injured and transported to hospital,” said Arthur Crewe of SRU HiRisk. “The car was in so many pieces that it was difficult to see what make it was, but it looked like a Toyota Tazz,” he said.
SRU HiRisk secured the scene and alerted emergency services. The R512 is still closed and police are on the scene.
