Residents and businesses were shocked on Thursday morning to discover that the lovely River bushwillow trees on the traffic circle at Nviro Business Hub in Ifafi had been chopped down.
“We planted the trees six years ago to pretty up the area for businesses, residents and visitors. It was a shock to see on Thursday that the trees had been hacked down,” said Leonie Erasmus of NviroTek.
“We are responsible for the upkeep and garden at the Nviro Business Hub and it is not nice to know that someone wants to destroy it. It was pure vandalism. The hacked-off branches were just left there. We are trying to keep the area attractive and neat and this is very disappointing.”
