Covid-19: SA’s recovery rate remains 88%

Gauteng reported 187 301 recoveries followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 101 989 recoveries.

South Africa’s Covid-19 statistics, dated September 6 and released by the Department of Health, shows an 88 per cent (563 891) recovery rate.

A further 110 Covid-19 related deaths were reported bringing the total number of deaths to 14 889.

An additional 16 367 tests were conducted bringing the total number of tests to 3 800 190. 1 633 new cases were reported bringing the cumulative total to 638 517.

Gauteng remains the hot spot with 33,3 per cent of cases. The province has 21 784 active cases followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 10 541 active cases.
