The number of recoveries from Covid-19 in South Africa currently stands at 579 289.
As of yesterday, 14 September, a total number of 650 749 confirmed Covid-19 cases in South Africa have been recorded with 956 new cases identified. The total number of tests conducted to date is 3 928 614 with 10 136 new tests conducted since the last report.
The Department of Health (DoH) reports 52 new Covid-19 related deaths:
- 2 from KwaZulu-Natal
- 3 from Gauteng
- 4 from Eastern Cape
- 7 Western Cape
- 15 from North West
- 21 from the Free State
This brings the total number of Covid-19 related deaths to 15 499.
The DoH conveys its condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanks the health care workers who treated the deceased.
