The police in Hartbeespoort have arrested four wanted housebreakers that may be linked to a number of burglaries in the area the past months.
“The police’s Crime Prevention Unit received information in the early hours on Monday, 23 November, and raided a house in Ten Rooms in Rietfontein where they found suspected stolen items and arrested four men,” said police spokesperson, colonel Adele Myburgh.
The police recovered television sets, laptops, bedding, clothing and camp chairs, amongst other things.
“Some of the items were linked to a housebreaking on 18 November in Rietfontein,” Myburgh said. It is suspected that more housebreakings will be linked to the four suspects.
The four suspects, Zacharia Dube (25), Molaudi Kolobe (35), Philemon Madonswa (32) and Samuel Ngobeni (38) appeared in the Brits Magistrates’ Court on charges of possession of suspected stolen property. They were remanded in custody until their next appearance in court on 8 December.
