A couple and their worker were held at gunpoint and tied up while four armed robbers ransacked their house in Melodie in Hartbeespoort on Thursday, 11 February. 2021.
According to Romano van der Spuy, spokesperson for the Hartbeespoort community policing forum, four men entered the house at 15:15 on Thursday afternoon, pointed a firearm at the couple and tied them up with cables before covering them with animal skins.
Their worker was also tied up.
“The robbers then ransacked the house and took a laptop, cash, jewellery, bank card and a German drivers licence before fleeing. When the victims heard them leave, they managed to untie themselves and called for help.”
No one was injured. The Hartbeespoort police are investigating an armed house robbery case.
