Rotary, WESSA, Birdlife SA get together for conservation

Rotary club of Brits Hartbeespoort, WESSA Northern areas and Birdlife Harties held a very successful conservation morning on Saturday at Margaret Roberts Herbal center.

The morning started with a bird walk well attended by members as well as the Magaliesberg Protection Association AGM.

This was followed by refreshments and top speakers in their fields. Mark Anderson spoke about Why Birds?, Dr John Ledger talked about vultures in the Magaliesberg and Leanne Venter spoke about conservation issues in the biosphere especially with regard to leopards.

The next conservation morning is planned for International Vulture day on 2 September which will be open to the public.
