Security officers discovered a hijacked man in his car’s boot last Monday when they reacted to an alert about a hijacked vehicle.
“We received an alert of a hijacked vehicle in the Broederstroom area on Monday night and the tactical response team responded to the call. The vehicle was spotted on the R512. When the hijackers saw the response team, they opened fired shots and the security officers returned fire. Two suspects got out of the car and fled into the bushes,” said Arthur Crewe of SRU HiRisk. The owner of the car was discovered tied up in the boot.
The car was hijacked earlier the evening in the Rustenburg area.
