Hartiwood Food and Film Show is back!

Hartbeespoort’s annual epicurean event takes place on Sunday 18 September and will see craft beers, cookies, cakes and cheeses being served up side by side with a magnificent melange of drama, puppets, buskers and bands.

As always, Pierré and Pauli Productions will be there with their delicious pink caravan presenting, performing and filming the event.

Marionette magic will be provided by the wonderful Wiebke Holm with her accordion and puppets. Chantal van Zyl will excite audiences with her fabulous fire dancing!

Child singing sensation, Keegan Morrison (who recently won best singer at Kunswedstryd) has been blessed with one of the most beautiful voices in the North West.

Keegan-Morrison

He will share his angelic acoustic talents at intervals throughout the afternoon. Gorgeous grownup voices are coming too.

Lovely local artists Elzabe Spies, Hanlie Dames and Marté van Heerden are all appearing.

Willemien Rust (famous for her magnificent rendition of the theme song from French Toast, the movie) will be performing her new show “Twee Hartstale” at 11:00 and again at 14:00.

In the blissful beer garden Machiel Roets will provide ideal accompaniment to the excellent ales of Chameleon, Loxton, Roeks and Blackhorse breweries.

Free Wild West movies complete the artistic attractions.

Whether you want cowboy classics (such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and The Assassination of Jesse James) or kiddie cartoons (such as Rango), there is a glorious gunslinger to suit every cinematic taste.

Some say that music is the food of love. Others just love food. Once you have had your fill of arts and culture, why not move on to more tangible (and edible) treats? Whether you prefer the mindful, healthy eating of veggie burgers and kombucha (served up by the gourmet gugus at Conscious 108) or the meaty magnificence of Barking Dog Smokehouse there is something to suit every palate and wallet. Whether you wash down your Prue Leith Culinary Academy macaroons with wines from Steenberg, Van Loveren, Vrede en Lust or Pierre Jourdan is entirely up to you!

Tickets are available at the gate and are R60 for adults and R30 for children.
