Get ready for Little Shop of Horrors and win

“The cast and crew are all amateurs who sacrifice their free time for the love of the theatre and stage. Any profits from ticket sales are ploughed into production costs and to stage upcoming shows.

Our aim is to keep theatre alive and to bring quality productions to local audiences,” says director Johan Kleynhans, who founded the non-profit amateur drama group in 2004 and has staged classics such as Cinderella, Once upon a Mattress, and The Frog Prince, to critical acclaim.

The Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of the meek floral assistant, Seymour Krelborn, who stumbles upon a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn, as long as he keeps feeding it, blood! Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world origins and intent towards global domination.

The opening night is Wednesday 30 November at 19:00. Shows will carry on throughout December, so bring the family and enjoy a theatrical experience that will thrill and entertain.
