Housebreakings a concern

During last weekend eight housebreakings were reported.
Thieves broke into a house in Paul Kruger Street in Kosmos on Thursday night and stole various household goods worth approximately R40 000.
A restaurant was broken into on the Jalalpor road in Broederstroom on Friday night and a freezer, fridge and television set stolen.
On Saturday thieves burgled a house in Cloister Street in Meerhof and ransacked the house, fleeing with a large number of items such as jewellery, clothes, cellphone and other household items.
Garden tools such as a lawnmower, edge trimmers, toolbox and a gas bottle were stolen when thieves broke into a wendy house in Kleinste Street in Ifafi on Saturday night.
A house in Bosvy Street in Melodie was also burgled during the weekend and thieves stole a computer, television set, cutlery and other household appliances.
Thieves got away with a cigarette machine full of cigarettes from a restaurant at Arrows Rest in Broederstroom. A red Raleigh bicycle was also taken.
In Bultfontein burglars stole a sound system, television set, jewellery, a safe and a firearm. The firearm was used for an attempted breakin the next night.
Various items like a door, lights and fittings, table and other items were stolen from a lodge on the Hartebeeshoek road between 14 and 22 June.
