Help address feral cat problem

Hartbeespoort resident Joanne Kontaxopoulos-Rabe, has started a project to sterilise the feral cat population in various areas, and most urgent the feral cats near the Meerhof bird sanctuary.
Joanne, a member of NCAT is planning a Spayathon on 26 and 27 August and needs assistance to pay the veterinarians who will sterilise approximately 30 cats in the area.
“We need R7 200 for the Spayathon. If only 30 cat lovers can each pay R240, our project is saved,” she says.
Joanne is currently feeding various feral cat colonies at feeding stations in Hartbeespoort and is paying approximately R6 000 towards cat food every month. “The only way we are going to address the problem is by sterilising the animals and we urgently need help. I appeal to all animal lovers to assist with the project. If it is not addressed now, it will get out of hand.”
Anyone who wants to help can contact Joanne on 072 681 5556.
