The officials will be at the mall’s Checkers court from 09:30-19:00.
The municipality has introduced the incentive scheme which sees consumer accounts being discounted up to 50%.
Consumers whose accounts were up to date and fully paid by 30 June 2018 will receive 15 % discount on their July municipal account.
Other consumers whose account are in arrears and wish to settle them will be granted 50% settlement discount as at 30 June 2018.
The incentive scheme started 1 July 2018 and will end 31 December 2018.
To qualify for the incentive, consumers must complete a prescribed application form available at the Credit Control offices between 07:30-16:00 during working days or request the form by calling 012 318 9452/9446 or emailing Jerry Mashigo [email protected]
Alternatively visit offices G31 and G32 on the ground floor of the main municipal building in Brits. Consumers who would be coming to the Village Mall should bring their ID documents.
Those applying for indigent registration, should bring an affidavit proving that they are unemployed (if that is the case); proof that their source of income is from government grants (SASSA) or salary slips if they are earning R3 700 or less, as determined by the indigent policy.
