The Enduro motorbike racing season has opened up again with round three of the Lowveld Enduro Championship held at Kruger Mpumalanga Airport on 22 August 2020. Armand Fourie (16), a grade 11 pupil of Hartbeespoort High School, competed in the high school class, of which he had already won the first two rounds prior to lockdown. It was a tough dusty day in the saddle but Armand got himself his third win in the high school class for the season.
Last weekend he also competed in both the high school class and the Pro-Eite class, of round 3 of the Enduroworld EWXC series which was held on home turf here in Hartbeespoort at Leeuwenkloof, Hartbeeshoek Road. Armand not only managed to walk away with the high school class win but also bagged an overall win and thus winning the Pro-Eite class as well. He is looking forward to the next round, which will be a double header, on 25 and 26 September in White River.
