
Four armed robbers on Sunday threatened shop assistants at a clothing store in Hartbeespoort at gunpoint and fled with clothes, cellphones and cash.
Two robbers, armed with a firearm, entered Markham in Village Mall around 09:40, while two were keeping watch at the store entrance.
According to police spokesperson, Maria Nkabinde, the robbers took clothes and cellphones from the shelves and placed them in a bag. They also took cash from the till before leaving the shop.
According to an eyewitness the robbers then leisurely strolled out of the mall, got into a Toyota Corolla and fled the scene.
