Hartbeespoort’s talented young swimmer, Christiaan van Eeden (16)

Hartbeespoort’s talented young swimmer, Christiaan van Eeden (16) has been chosen for the Presidents Team that will represent South Africa at the Commonwealth Games in Canada from 13 to 17 September 2023. Swimming has been Christiaan’s passion since he was a young boy which has only been fuelled as he has got older. He broke the Junior SA record at age eight! Earlier this year, he set three new SA Records in the under 13 – 100 Super Nipper Pool, Manikin with fins Nipper Pool, and Rescue Medley Nipper Pool events at the DHL Africa Lifesaving SA Championships. He swims for the Harties Reflections Club. He has worked hard towards this goal over the last year and hopes to make every South African proud while he is in Canada.
