A husband and wife were threatened at gunpoint and robbed of their belongings when their car broke down on Saartjiesnek last week.

“The wife’s car broke down and her husband drove out to assist her. While he was looking for the problem, five men, armed with two firearms, came out of the bushes. They told the couple to lie down on the ground and robbed them of their belongings before fleeing. The husband and wife were unharmed,” said Romano van der Spuy, chairman of the Hartbeespoort Community Policing Forum.
