A doctor at Brits District Hospital has been celebrating her birthday for the past three years in the hospital’s maternity ward!
Dr Lebogang Dipudi celebrated her 40th birthday last Thursday with family, friends, colleagues and new mothers and babies in the hospital’s maternity ward. And the gifts were not for her but for the new mothers! And even some for colleagues!
For Dr D, as she is known, celebrating her birthday this way is her way of giving back to the community and bringing joy to people. “Growing up, I saw my mom helping other people, and she still does. This has inspired me to do the same in my life,” she says.
Dr D treated the new mothers with gifts, and of course birthday cake and balloons!
