Excitement is soaring as the next Mbata Slapping Competition at Die Joint Koffiehuis en Kwekery is approaching this Saturday, 31 August.
The first-ever Mbata was held at Die Joint in May this year, leaving competitors and spectators asking for more.
“This ground-breaking event brought together some of the most talented individuals in slapping and MMA from across the region, setting the stage for a thrilling day of high-stakes competition and celebration of skill and creativity,” said Tinus Vrey of Die Joint.
The event, organised by Mbata Slapping Federation, was designed to provide a platform for emerging talents to showcase their abilities in front of industry professionals and a supportive audience. Participants competed in various weight categories, each striving to outshine their peers and claim the top prize.
“We’re thrilled with the turnout and the level of talent we saw at the first event,” said Cedric Martel, President of Mbata Slapping Federation. “This competition is all about giving people a chance to shine and to bring the community together around something we’re all passionate about. The energy here has been incredible.”
The success of the event has left participants and spectators eager for more, with many already marking their calendars for the next event. Mbata has not only provided a platform for talent but has also fostered a sense of community and inspiration among everyone involved.
