Despite the Madibeng municipality’s undertaking to fix all the traffic lights in Hartbeespoort by last week, only one was repaired.
The traffic lights at Village Mall, Xanadu Eco Estate, Jasmyn and Hartbeespoort High School, have been out of order for months and the municipality said a contractor was appointed to start work last week and that all should be operational by this week.
Municipal spokesperson Tumelo Tshabala said on Thursday that the traffic lights at Xanadu were repaired. “The process of the repairs regarding traffic lights at Village Mall, Hartbeespoort High School and the dam wall is ongoing.”
