The Meerhof School reveived a whopping R250 000 last week that was raised during the annual golf day at Eagle Canyon in November 2020 amidst the lockdown.

The Meerhof School Golf Day was initiated by Hannes Barendze from Global Asset Management and Financial Services (GAMFS) 12 years ago and started as a small golf day at Seasons Golf Club.

Many sponsors like GAMFS, IMMK Pty Ltd, Crossroads Pty Ltd, Flosolve Pty Ltd and MKICT Pty Ltd joined the fundraiser over the years and the golf day became a popular event on the golf calendar for companies and individual businessmen.

The aim was to raise as much as possible for the school at each event and over the past 12 years more than R1 million has been raised for the school.

“The sponsors and the personnel at Meerhof School wish to thank everyone that was involved in this amazing day over all the years. What a privilege and blessing to be able to be involved in this event on an annual basis, to make a difference in the lives of these amazing children,” the school said.
