The well-known and beloved Captain Ndumo Tshabalala (60) of the Hartbeespoort detective team is saying goodbye to the police service and the Hartbeespoort community when he retires from the service this week.
Captain Tshabalala has dedicated the past 36 years of his life to ensuring that criminals are brought to book in order to keep the community safe. He was appointed as a police officer in 1984 and joined the Hartbeespoort police’s team in 1986 and became an investigator in die detective unit in 1992 in which he served until his retirement as acting branch commander.
Captain Tshabalala is known for his humbleness and his reliable enthusiasm to assist. He will be missed by the police members and the community in Hartbeespoort.
The Hartbeespoort police station and officials in the Brits police cluster officially said goodbye to the stalwart police officer on Wednesday.
Captain Tshabalala is looking forward to a well-deserved rest with his wife, son and daughter. He has no definite plans for his retirement yet.
For the foreseeable future he plans on catching up on a normal home life and enough sleep.
