The Hartbeespoort Dam wall will be closed from 17 to 28 July for maintenance, the Department of Water and Sanitation said this week.
“The department has scheduled planned maintenance of the dam wall during this time, and is awaiting approval from the North West Department of Public Works and Roads for approval to close the road,” spokesperson for the department, Wisane Mavasa said.
The road will be closed from Damdoryn over the dam to Hartbeespoort Snake and Animal Park.
“The maintenance work will include mechanical maintenance on the dam wall, painting and paving, unblocking pressure relief holes, removal of graffiti as well as trimming and cutting trees along the road,” she said.
