The pups at the Hartbeespoort Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) will be getting some valuable attention to prepare them for their future forever homes.

HAWS is introducing its Puppy Enrichment programme with Mandy Griffin, who is busy with her studies as an animal behaviourist. “We are looking for volunteers to come and help us play with the puppies, giving confidence and teaching them some skills to better their chances of adoption,” Mandy says.
The programme takes place every Saturday morning, and this is an opportunity for every animal lover to help find homes for these pups in the shelter. “Our aim is to have enough volunteers to eventually do some very basic obedience training.”
“We are so excited to introduce Mandy who has offered to do this valuable enrichment work with our pups. We urgently need some handy helpers to assist her. If you would like to learn a bit about enrichment and have the time to assist, please make contact with Mandy. If you would like to support the work with the puppies but cannot give your time, Mandy has asked for some tools to help her work, like muffin tins, snuffle mats, empty toilet rolls, balls, toys and treats,” says Linda Spencer-Coye, chairman of HAWS.
Come on animal lovers in Hartbeespoort, help to make this pogramme work and find homes for the pups at the shelter by volunteering a little time to enrich these pups’ lives!
Contact Mandy on 074 916 6878. Any donations for the programme can be left at the kennels or at the Book Nook.
