A 10 km stretch of the R511 (Hennopsriver road) near Hartbeespoort has been closed off on Wednesday morning after a truck carryinghydrofluoric acid went off the road, losing the propane tank along the way.

“The situation is very serious. Because the situation is so severe and dangerous, we had to close off a 10 km radius. People must stay away from the area. Various emergency services are on the scene,” said Arthur Crewe of SRU High Risk who is assisting on the scene.
