The hijackers struck in one of the town’s busiest streets last weekend.

A man was recently kidnapped during a hijacking in Carletonville.
Carletonville police’s communication officer, Warrant Officer Peter Masooa, says the incident happened on Saturday, 26 February.
A 36-year-old man was sitting in his Toyota Fortuner in front of a yard in Onyx Drive at about 22:00.
He was busy on his cell phone when he suddenly noticed someone next to the vehicle. The next thing he knew, three men stood next to him and pointed a firearm at him.
They forced him into the back of his vehicle and drove off.
They later dropped him off in Sebokeng.
