Karate students of the Zanshin Karate School in Ifafi, Hartbeespoort competed in the recent North West tournament in Mafikeng.

A number of students qualified to go to the SAJKA Karate National Tournament which was held on the 24 and 25 May 2022.

The SAJKA Karate Tournament is one of the biggest Tournaments held in South Africa. This year over 1 500 karatekas entered with a combined entry of kata and kumite to total over 3 400 entries over the two-day tournament.

At the back, Sensei Johan Pretorius; Senpai Leonard Ludick, middle row, Vuyokazi Sedile; Louwrens Bosch; Aba Sedile; Deandrae Roets, and in front, Christiaan Coetzer; Kyle Hurter; Ricko Ellis; Rhenier Labuschagne and Joshua de Kock.

All three of the Zanshin dojos competed. Zanshin Hartbeespoort sent twenty-three competitors to the tournament.
