A team of people worked more than two hours to rescue a man from a trench that he was working in.
A man had to be rescued from a collapsed trench in the Margate CBD yesterday afternoon.
Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the incident. “When emergency services arrived they found that a man had sustained serious injuries when a trench he was working in collapsed,” said spokesman Craig Botha.
“Together with Ray Nkonyeni Fire and Rescue services, EMRS Rescue and Netcare 911 specialised rescue services, paramedics stabilised the patient and worked for two hours to free the man.”
He was transported to hospital for further treatment and stabilisation.
