A Covid-19 screening station at Brits Mall is one of many in the North West province that are being established by the North West province.
The department announced that screening, testing and contact-tracing centres will be increased throughout the province. This follows an announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa on the roll-out of large-scale screening, testing, tracing and a medical management programme throughout the country. Around 10 000 field workers are visiting villages, towns and cities in North West to screen residents for COVID-19 symptoms. People with symptoms will be referred to local clinics or mobile clinics for testing. Screening stations in Madibeng are available at Brits Mall, Letlhabile Mall and the Bapong shopping centre.
