The driver of a bakkie died after crashing into a heap of sand next to a road in Sonop early Monday morning. The accident took place in Granite Avenue, Sonop. The man was declared dead on the scene by paramedics of the Hartbeespoort Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). There were no other injuries.
