Police in Letlhabile have launched a manhunt after the half-naked body of a mother (48) and her 10-year-old son were disoverd in their home in Letlhabile near Brits.
According to police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani, the bodies of Emily Mashabela and son, Thabiso, were discovered after neighbours contacted Mashabela’s brother to report “a terrible smell and flies coming from the house”.
“The victim’s brother phoned the police who went to the house. The house was opened where the two bodies were discovered. The half-naked body of Emily was found lying on the couch and Thabiso’s body was found in his room. At this stage the police cannot confirm the cause or the motive of the killings. Investigations into the matter is underway,” she said.
