A special Police operation was held in the Hartbeespoort area on Friday during which 32 suspects were arrested.
Seventy-four police officers and 30 vehicles were deployed during the operation. “The operation was focused on all elements of crime ranging from liquor and drug offences, traffic law enforcement to stopping and searching vehicles. Emphasis was also placed on hotspots identified by crime pattern analysis especially in rural areas such as Broederstroom,” said Hartbeespoort community policing forum chairman, Romano van der Spuy..
“Our community greatly appreciates the efforts by the Police in this regard. There is no bigger deterrent to criminals than a high police visibility in any given area. Well done to all those members in blue for excellent work.”
