The new mayor of the Madibeng Municipality on Monday requested taxi and bus operators to suggest ways that the municipality can address service delivery issues.

Mayor Douglas Maimane met with bus operators and Taxi associations in Letlhabile to consult them about service delivery issues and their general concerns.

During the meeting Maimane acknowledged government’s shortcomings as far as delivery of adequate services was concerned. He requested delegates to not only point out areas that trouble them, but also suggest ways that the municipality could begin to address them.

The bus and taxi operators raised their concerns about amongst other things, the state of the roads and general service delivery issues such as water supply.

Maimane made a commitment during the meeting that potholes will be attended to immediately.
