MCS – The school of choice for top swimmers and lifesavers

The Mountain Cambridge School’s goals of being a top swimming school require more than just hard work and discipline.

Mountain Cambrige School is the home of the top SA lifesavers.

It requires swimmers willing to help grow our vision and honour our core values. Swimmers who are willing to help build our foundations to reach our dreams.

The journey has only begun, yet we have broken records, won medals, and helped some of South Africa’s top swimmers and lifesavers grow into prestigious athletes.

In 2021/2022, the MCS swimmers brought home a total of 15 medals. Despite the many challenges MCS swimmers had to face, we prevailed and created a solid foundation for future generations to build upon. It is not an easy task, balancing academic life and swimming. Luckily working hard and under pressure is nothing new to us.

During the 2021/2022 season, the MCS swimmers competed in various competitions. At SACSSA we brought home individual and relay medals along with the Victor ludorum for men and the Best Race trophy. MCS also competed in the Lifesaving South Africa Championships where most of our swimmers ended in the Top 5 overall, breaking records in the process.

Level 3, Regional Junior Nationals, and Junior National showcased the tremendous talent that MCS swimmers have. Swimming personal best times and winning gold medals, not to mention the Grand Prix and the Open Water National we competed in.

MCS is also the home of the top lifesavers in South Africa. Lifesavers that are part of the South Africa High-Performance squad and the North West High-Performance squad.

We would like to commend every swimmer at MCS. You have worked hard and pushed through pain and tears. Not everybody sees what you put in and sacrifice to achieve your goals. They only see the results.

Congratulations, all your hard work has paid off.

Today we start again because tomorrow’s success depends on today’s work.
