Meerhof School again flooded by sewage
Sewage has once again flooded the premises of the Meerhof School for disabled learners. The problem has been ongoing periodically for years as a result of faulty pumps at the pump station on the school premises as well as another pump station in the area.
Representatives of the Madibeng Municipality met with the school management this week to address the ongoing problem.
“It was a constructive meeting and it seems the municipality has obtained funds to address the problems at all 14 pump stations in Hartbeespoort,” said councillor Gullaume Clouston. “The municipality indicated that a team would start visiting the pump station to investigate soon.”
The municipality had not commented on an enquiry by the time of going to press.
