The body of a missing security guard was found in the Crocodile River in Brits on Monday.

The police and community have been looking for Morris Boitumelo Maepa (35), since 15 July after he went missing from a mine in the area.
“According to information received, he was last seen by his colleague at about 02:00, while on duty as a security guard. A search was conducted around the mine without success. At the time of his disappearance, he wore a navy blue jacket, navy blue pants and black boots. He is short and slender and has a dark complexion,” said police spokesperson, Colonel Adele Myburgh.
“The police are now investigating an inquest.
