Since the Ifafi/Melodie Neighbourhood Watch started installing security cameras in streets in March, a total of 15 have been installed, covering most of the entrance and exit roads in Ifafi, Melodie and Schoemansville.

Schoemansville Neighbourhood Watch has joined the initiative and the most recent cameras were installed at the junction of Scott Street and Marais Street.
“We install cameras as the money comes in. It is an expensive project and we thank all our supporters who have contributed to make our area a safer place,” says Marius de Villiers of the Ifafi/Melodie Neighbourhood Watch.
“We aim to install cameras at the dam wall next as soon as we have funds available. We would like to thank ZKTeco for donating the cameras, and Megs for the installation and use of its network.”
