Mossel Bay stabbing and shooting cases investigated

Police in Mossel Bay are investigating two cases of attempted murder after two people were attacked in separate incidents on Saturday.

Police in Mossel Bay have launched a manhunt after a 35-year-old man was stabbed by a group of men, allegedly known as the One-Timers.

Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie says the victim was attacked on Saturday evening at around 21:00 on the corner of Taylor and Domingo Streets in Extension 8.

Pojie says the victim survived the ordeal and had to be rushed to a Mossel Bay hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Da Gamaskop police are investigating a case of attempted murder.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man was shot in Nkwenkezi Street in Luthuli Park on Saturday evening at around 20:00.

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, neck, left arm and head. The man is in a critical condition in the Mossel Bay Provincial hospital.

No arrests have yet been made and a case of attempted murder is being investigated.
