A motorist who was shot on the R566 Rosslyn Road near De Wildt two weeks ago, succumbed to his wounds last week.
A father and son were driving on the R566 near De Wildt around 19:30 when their car hit rocks placed on the road. According to police spokesperson Lt Col Mavela Masondo, the vehicle’s tyre was damaged and they stopped to change it. “While they were busy fixing the tyre, they were approached by three suspects who shot the victim before robbing them of cash and cellphones. The victim was taken to a hospital where he later died,” Masondo said.
