A motorist was robbed at gunpoint near the busy traffic lights at Village Mall on Thursday.
“The motorist had just passed the traffic lights when a blue Toyota Conquest veered in front of him and stopped. Two men with a firearm jumped out, pulled open the motorist’s door and took the car keys from the ignition. While holding him at gunpoint, they took an iPad, two iPhones, cash, and the car keys before jumping back into their car and speeding off,” said Romano van der Spuy, spokesperson for the Hartbeespoort community policing forum (CPF).
