
After months of traffic being diverted, the R512 eastbound on-ramp and R511 westbound off-ramp on the N4 are finally open again. “We would like to thank motorists for their patience while the ramps were closed,” Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessionaire said.
Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessionaire (Pty) Ltd, (Bakwena’s), current upgrades include the addition of a 32km of a second carriageway on the N4 between the M17 and R512 (Brits Interchange), with an expected completion date of June 2021. The upgrades along the Bakwena route are progressing well, said Bakwena’s commercial manager,Solomon Kganyago. The project cost of the N4 upgrade is R582 million with a 36-month construction period that is scheduled to be completed in June 2021.
