The Madibeng municipality on Monday took ownership of a new fleet of service delivery vehicles, hoping in drastically improve service delivery.

Madibeng mayor, Douglas Maimane, launched the new service delivery fleet on Monday.

Madibeng mayor Douglas Maimane officially launched the new fleet of nine compactor waste trucks and ten water tankers for potable water.
“The purchase of the new fleet is a good step in the right direction for the municipality in efforts to save costs,” Maimane said.
“We have done the right thing by purchasing this fleet of vehicles as we will now be able to save much needed money and render services to our people with the necessary efficiency. The Auditor-General indicated some ten years ago that we lost more money with contracted services, so having our fleet will definitely save us money.”
Maimane appealed to the drivers of the trucks to take good care of the vehicles and to always think about the communities that are in need of municipal services.
