The Madibeng municipality announced the newly appointed acting municipal manager the past week.

Noko Seanego, formerly the municipal manager at the Mbombela municipality was charged with fraud in 2015 at the Mbombela municipality. The matter was later struck off the court roll.

He was arrested in 2015 as general manager of corporate services at the Mbombela municipality on a charge of fraud. The charge was related to the alleged irregular appointment of specialised security officers in the municipality.

At the time Brig Selvy Mohlala, provincial police spokesman said the reason was that the police had to investigate the matter further. “The magistrate said the investigation was incomplete and recommended that it be referred back to the police.”
