The R511 westbound off-ramp from the N4 to Brits/Sandton was closed on Monday, 25 May and will remain closed until December 2020 for road works.

The closure forms part of the road works related to the addition of a 32 km second carriageway on the M17 (Hornsnek Road) and the R512 (Brits interchange).

Road users are advised to make use of alternative routes during the closure of the R511 off-ramp.

The following alternatives can be used: M17 (Garankuwa/Hornsnek) off-ramp via the R513 or the R566 (Rosslyn road). Alternatively the R512 (Brits) off-ramp after the R511 can be used to Brits.

The Bakwena Platinum Corridor Consessionaire said it places great importance on road users’ safety and will keep motorists informed about any work that will be taking place. Motorists are urged to adhere to all designated road signs and traffic regulations that are in place throughout construction where heavy equipment and trucks will be operating.
