Rand Water will interrupt the water supply to Hartbeespoort for more than two days on 15 November while work is done on the pipeline.

Rand Water is planning a shutdown to install isolating in-line valve rigs on the B11 pipeline to achieve total interconnection with the newly constructed R19 pipeline.
The shutdown is planned for 15 November for approximately 54 hours. This will mean a reduction in the water supply to the Madibeng municipality. Water users on the Rand Water pipeline will be affected. The areas include Meerhof, Ifafi and parts of Melodie, as well as areas that receive water from the Silkaatsnek reservoir.
Rand Water said the shutdown does not necessarily mean that there will be no supply of water during the shutdown, but due to the duration of the shutdown, areas may experience shortages or low pressure.
