A cash project has been launched to assist in aid delivery. What is this development all about?
Distribution of aid to needy communities and families has been in existence for many years. Save the Children International is rated among the charitable organisations in the world.
The new cash project by this charitable organisation is designed to positively alter how aid is delivered to countries.
CEO Paul Ronald’s says this is a $6.6 million plan which will change how disaster assistance is provided.
“This project involves providing financial relief assistance through smartphone technology. We have seen around the world an increasing demand for voucher or mobile payments rather than distributing goods. This provides more dignity to families to choose their most needy areas” said Paul.
This cash project will be rolled out on suitable mobile networks in countries where relief assistance is needed.
